I'm Coach Baumgartner, I will be coaching this years boys baseball team. This is my second year head coaching baseball, however I have 10+ years of competitive baseball experience between playing and volunteer coaching.

My father was the person who got me into the sport of baseball. He played most of his life from little league all the way up until the minor leagues.  He played college baseball at St. Francis University in Joliet, Illinois, where he earned multiple All-American Honors.  He continued his career playing A Minor baseball with the Chicago White Sox organization in multiple locations throughout the country.  He decided to start a family and ended up becoming my coach for as long as I can remember.

I played baseball starting at the age of 5 years old like most who enter into T-Ball, my father coaching me every step of the way.  I made my way through little league playing the communities in-house league, as well as on a travel team called the Mundelein Renegades for 3-4 years.  After the Renegades, I played for the Mundelein Feeder Team 13A U, and 14 A U, until I reached the high school level.

My primrary positions were catching and pitching, although I played every position at some point in time.  My father was a catcher through his time playing, so I learned everything I knew about the position from him.  I played a good amount of outfield, but a minimal amount of infield during my playing career.

I am extremely capable of coaching a youth baseball team, and my goal is to teach the players the necessary skills they need to hopefully continue playing at a higher and more competitive level.
