Fitnessgram

Fitness testing is a valuable instrument in every Physical Education class.  6th-8th grade students take part in the Fitnessgram test multiple times through a school year's quarter.  The Fitnessgram measures cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength & endurance, and flexibility.  Each student's individual scores are recorded to be used at a later date to measure the student's overall fitness progress.

 

The Fitnessgram includes these specific tests:

  • PACER - Cardiovascular Endurance

  • Push-Ups - Muscular Strength/Endurance

  • Curl-Ups - Muscular Strength/Endurance

  • Back-Saver Sit-N-Reach - Flexibility
